employees, can I
register as an
individual?
A: The members of
the HCCNVA are
individual
businesses or
companies, i.e. an
individual MD, CPA,
Dentist or other
self employed
individual is
eligible for
individual
membership. A CPA
firm would be
eligible for a
company membership.
We believe that the
fair way to provide
access the benefits
of the organization
is by have a scale
based membership
class. Regardless of
the rate, you will
receive a much
greater value by
being a member.
Q: Are the
membership fees tax
deductible?
A: Your rates might
be considered a
business expense for
tax purposes, but
since every
situation is
different you
recommend you ask
your accountant or
professional tax
adviser.
Q: Are the meetings
conducted in Spanish?
A: Although most of
the members are
fluent in both
English and Spanish,
all business is
conducted in English.
Individual
conversation during
mixers are in both
languages at the
pleasure of the
members.
Q: Is the Chamber a
political group? How
can I help?
A: The Chamber
serves as the "unified
voice of the
businesses who have
a Hispanic interest"
aggressively
representing your
business interests
at all levels of
government. As a
member you are able
to add your voice to
the Hispanic
Business Community
Agenda by
participating in
member surveys and
by keeping informed
on current issues.
You can also share
your expertise with
Chamber advocacy
efforts by sharing

A: You can join by
filling out our
online form or by
printing out an
application and
mailing it to us.
Within a few days,
you will receive a
welcome package and
will start to
receive information
via e-mail about

Q: Do I have to be
Hispanic to become a
member?
A: No, we welcome
all businesses to
join the HCCNVA. If
you have a strategic
Hispanic Marketing
initiative, we can
be of benefit for
you to achieve your
business objectives.
Q: Do I have to
speak Spanish to be
a member?
A: No, but it is a
plus as many of your
potential clients do
speak Spanish.
However, most
business owners and
employees are
bilingual. The
HCCNVA staff is also
fluent in both
Spanish and English.
